INSPIRATION

'The Rabari women wear kapdu (blouse), ghaghro (skirt) and chundari (scarf) to cover their heads. Earlier, the kapdu would usually have some form of embroidery but in recent times ready-made embroidery patches are common.'

Taking the Design of Kapdu(blouse), a tie & dye blouse is constructed with pleats as surface on it. Now, since the design of the skirt is very flare, a paneled long skirt is designed with introducing the bandhani technique, which is also a very prominent tie-dye technique in Gujarat, Rajasthan and Punjab region, with introducing different vibrant colors at the bottom of the hem.

The Chunari has been styled with the garment made. Tattoos and other ornamentation have also been done to represent the Rabari tribe.
